What you'll need (2 min read) Before you start, it helps to have these handy:
  • Your NZ driver licence (the number at 5a, the version at 5b and the expiry date), or your passport (its number and expiry date).
  • What you earn after tax, and your employer's name.
  • Your internet banking, if you'd like to connect your bank. Or your last 3 months of statements as PDFs.
  • If you're self-employed: your latest IR3 (personal tax return).
Don't have them all now? No problem. You can send documents later from the link we email or text you. Not ready yet? Ask us to call you.
